Reclaiming Your Rhythm. Remembering Your Power.

Introduction

In Bloodline Astrology™, we honor the Moon not as a passive reflector of light, but as a living archetype—an ancestral guide who mirrors the rhythms of our own becoming. She moves swiftly, completing one full cycle every 29.5 days, spending about 2.5 days in each zodiac sign, and about 3.5 days in each lunation phase.

Her journey is not just a celestial event.
It is a ritual, a mirror, a reminder.
Each month, she dances with the Sun through the phases of darkness, light, and release, reminding us that we, too, are cyclical.
We rise. We fall. We bloom. We break. We begin again.

This cycle is not linear. It is spiralic. And you don’t need to “master” it to benefit from it.
You only need to listen.

Working With the Moon

I believe in the power of intention—not as wishful thinking, but as ritualized remembering.

Setting intentions at the New Moon and working with them as the Moon grows and releases light is one of the most magical, accessible ways to co-create with the Divine.

But even if intention-setting isn’t your thing, simply noticing how you feel during each phase—tracking your energy, emotions, dreams, and resistance—can be life-changing.
You begin to recognize your own natural rhythm of expansion and contraction, your own seasons of fire and stillness.

This is ancestral work. This is soul work. This is reclamation.

The Waxing and Waning Moon

The lunar cycle can be divided into two primary movements: waxing and waning.

From the New Moon to the Full Moon, the Moon is waxing—growing in light.
This is a period of rising energy, where intentions are set in motion, actions are initiated, and emotional momentum begins to build. You may feel more outward-facing, driven, expressive, or motivated during this half of the cycle.

From the Full Moon to the next New Moon, the Moon is waning—dimming in light.
This is a time of release and reflection, where circumstances shift, emotions soften, and what is no longer needed begins to fall away. Energy often turns inward. It becomes more tender, quiet, or contemplative.

Within both the waxing and waning halves of the cycle, you will feel smaller fluctuations—waves within waves. You’ll be called to push a little, then ease up, to stretch, then rest, again and again.

This is the rhythm of embodiment.
The rhythm of the ancestors.
The rhythm of the Moon.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
Honor your energy as sacred.
Your fatigue is not failure.
Your fire is not too much.
Your rhythm is remembering something that was never meant to be forgotten.

The New Moon

Beginning | Seeding | Listening

The Moon disappears from view. This is the sacred void.
Here, we rest, root, and plant the seed of what we wish to call in.

This is not a high-energy time—it is a time of expectancy. Of sacred pause.
The sign and house of the New Moon in your chart will reveal the theme of your becoming this month.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
Use this time to set an intention that isn’t just about productivity—but about healing something ancestral. What story do you want to rewrite? What sacred ground are you reclaiming?

Faith | Emergence | Invitation

As the Moon begins to grow in light, we are invited to lean in to our intention.
Small steps. Soft prayers. Quiet courage.

You may receive signs, dreams, nudges—answers to the seeds you’ve sown.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
Ask yourself: What does it feel like to trust the future when I can’t see it yet? What am I being called to believe in—despite the past?

First Quarter Moon

Challenge | Commitment | Turning Point

Tension arises. The Moon forms a 90° angle with the Sun.
This phase asks: Will you stay the course or pivot?
Decisions must be made. Resistance shows up.
This is where fear and faith wrestle.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
Old patterns may resurface here. Rather than bypassing, meet them. What inherited survival strategy are you being asked to release? What new one are you ready to embody?

Waxing Gibbous Moon

Refinement | Preparation | Adjustment

The energy builds. Something is growing—but it may not be time to act yet.
This is a time for fine-tuning, for checking your alignment, for adjusting course.
The Moon will soon trine the Sun, offering ease—followed by a quincunx, offering the chance to adapt.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
What lessons are rising? What support are you being offered? Where can you soften or shift in honor of your truth?

Illumination | Culmination | Celebration + Release

The Moon is fully lit—and so are we.
Whatever was planted is now visible: the harvest, the ache, the breakthrough, the revelation.

This can feel intense, dramatic, even overwhelming. Let it be sacred drama.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
Ask yourself:

  • What is being illuminated in my story?
  • What am I ready to celebrate?
  • What am I being asked to release?

The axis of the Sun and Moon shows you where balance is needed in your life and lineage.

Disseminating Moon (Waning Gibbous)

Integration | Gratitude | Receiving

The light begins to wane. Energy softens.
This is the great exhale of the cycle.
A time for reflection, forgiveness, and grace.

The Moon’s trine to the Sun brings clarity; the quincunx that follows invites release.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
What wisdom has this cycle given you?
What ancestral message are you now ready to embody?

Third Quarter Moon

Release | Redirection | Spiritual Maturity

Another square. Another test.
Here, the Moon challenges us again—but now, with the weight of experience.
This is the “final exam” of the cycle: can you let go of what no longer serves you?

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
This is a good time to ask:
What pattern am I ready to stop repeating in my bloodline?
What truth am I finally strong enough to carry forward?

Surrender | Rest | Completion

This is the final phase—the sacred dark.
The Moon draws near the Sun and begins to disappear again.

This is your time of sacred pause, deep rest, and integration.
Let go of striving. Let yourself be undone.
In the last 1–2 days, we enter the Dark Moon, when the Moon vanishes completely.
This is the womb-space. The liminal.

🌿 Bloodline Reclamation Tip:
This is the most powerful time to listen to your ancestors.
Ask them: What am I ready to lay to rest?
And then, rest with them. Let them carry what you no longer need to hold.

Closing Thoughts: The Moon as Ritual Mirror

The lunar cycle is not something we master—it is something we remember.
It brings us back to the wisdom of cycles, seasons, spirals, and sacred timing.
It reminds us that we are not machines. We are not meant to be “on” all the time.

We are meant to ebb and flow, to plant and release, to bloom and rest, to remember and forget and remember again.

This is lunar living.
This is ancestral rhythm.
This is Bloodline Astrology™.
